1.41 – A little bit of everything you asked for + new maps

This update includes a bit of everything: a few improvements from me, some long-requested features by users, and a few new map sets for download. Let’s go through everything in order.

New icons for points added

From my own experience, I realized how essential a special icon for a car is. It’s the most important point when returning from fishing or hiking 🙂 A mushroom icon is also useful since everyone collects mushrooms – whether they’re mushroom pickers, anglers, hunters, or just tourists.

Improved point export/import

Now, when you export and import points, all their properties (shape, color, size) are retained. This has been a frequent request for a long time, and I finally got to it. Export and save your points without worrying about losing details like shape, size, or color.

Attach photos to a point – from the gallery

Another long-requested feature that received tons of “likes” in Play Market comments. You can now add photos to a point, choosing between the camera or gallery. In future updates, I plan to add the ability to attach more than one photo to a point.

New maps for download

I’ve added three new map sets:

  • Northeastern Russia and part of Finland
  • Baikal and Angara
  • An interesting map of the Kyiv Reservoir

Most water bodies include depth information as well as excellent topographic maps of the surrounding land.

Android 9 issues resolved

Google recently released Android 9. While the number of devices running this version is still small, it’s expected to grow. During testing, I noticed that the app behaved unstably and crashed on Android 9. Fortunately, this issue has been resolved in time. You can now confidently update your devices to Android 9 and install Susanin.
